The two three-dimensional stainless steel bar hands, and the extremely long, thin central second hand are all machined with an ultra-precision microfabrication machine.

The central second hand is hand-polished and tempered to blue steel. When incorporated into the watch, the tip is bent by hand to perfectly fit the second scale on the outer circumference of the dial.

Exterior parts such as the case and crown - in hard-to-process stainless steel - are machined using the world’s top ultra-high precision microfabrication machines, with an accuracy of several microns. Compared to 2020’s NH TYPE 2A, the NH TYPE 2B has a design that is more conscious of the 1960s, featuring a new bezel and crown.

The dial is three-dimensionally designed in three steps. All Arabic indexes are hand-carved by a skilled craftsman. Synthetic lacquer in cashew is then poured in to create a three-dimensional finish. The NH TYPE 2B has a different Arabic index layout from 2020’s NH TYPE 2A.

The NAOYA HIDA & Co. TOKYO brand logo and bar index are engraved with an ultra-high precision microfabrication machine, with synthetic lacquer in cashew poured in.

We use SUS 904L stainless steel with high corrosion resistance. It is only used by an extremely limited number of brands due to the difficulty in processing it.

The 16mm-wide, vintage-style pin buckle is also machined from 904L stainless steel, using an ultra-high precision microfabrication machine, before being polished. The form of the pin is composed of rich curves. The leather strap is hand-sewn in calf leather, with a lining to minimize sweat permeation.
